What is the difference between a surgical (“temporary”) denture and a regular denture?
There is no difference in quality. Both kinds of dentures are made of the same materials. The only difference is that, after one or more teeth are removed, there will be changes in the jaw and gums as you heal. The surgical (“temporary”) denture may need to be adjusted or relined to accommodate for the healing process. Depending upon the amount of change your mouth experiences during healing, the denture may either need to be permanently relined or replaced in the future.
